Though forgetful I may be in my established education
Not recognizing you because of forced indoctrination
And standardizing methods of cold intimidation
Compulsory schooling, for controlling civilization
They hijacked natural learning, which is our true foundation
Denying us your nourishment that led to soul starvation
They fed us packaged emptiness and bullshit glorification
Of letters, numbers, grades, and points for ‘model’ imitation
And you, my lost friend Wonder, who invokes deep exploration
Were judged unseemly for your bewitching intoxication
Of our awe-inspired minds and subsequent contemplation
For we could not be contained if they allowed your activation
But now I’ve grown so far beyond their scheming occupation
Past years of false constructed rules and walls of limitation
Time and space have loos’d the hold of complex machination
A political propaganda to control the youthful nation
Welcome, dear friend, Wonder, to this reinvigoration
Of rapturous astonishment and bold imagination
Guide me in my passion toward each new fascination
And gleefully inspire me to word play liberation
